A phrase used to describe a category of stories portraying a “cut-out” sequence of events in a character’s life. In most cases, a plot focuses on everyday life of the ordinary people, avoiding supernatural elements. A story told in the slice of life anime/manga doesn’t have to lead to any conclusion, leaving an open ending and many untied plots.
